Micromax Canvas Fire 4
Micromax, at the time of MWC 2015 trade show in Barcelona, has launched a new handset in India, the Canvas Fire 4.
The smartphone is priced at Rs. 6,999 and is available both on e-
commerce websites and physical retail stores starting Monday. The handset is not yet listed on
the company website.
The Micromax Canvas Fire 4 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) resolution display with Corning
Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by an unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core
processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone also houses an 8-megapixel rear and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Backed
by a 2000mAh battery, the budget Canvas Fire 4 can deliver up to 300 hours of standby time.
The handset also sports dual front-firing speakers and Cirrus Logic Wolfsan Stereo DAC (WM8918) to
enhance the audio output. While inbuilt storage has not been detailed, Micromax says the
handset supports storage expandability via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Some of the pre-loaded apps on Micromax Canvas Fire 4 are Newshunt, Paytm , Dr. safety,
Snapdeal, Saavn , App Center, MAD, Ask me, Clean Master, Quickr, and Chaatz. The handset's specifications match a lot with the recently
launched Canvas Pep. However, the Canvas Fire 4 comes with better camera and battery
capacity.
